Slow & Savor: Watercolor Sketchbook Foundations
Includes your own watercolor journal to take home
Thursday, August 17 | 5:30–8 PM
Hosted at Higher Grounds Coffee
Pagosa Springs, CO
This class was created for the beginner.
If you’ve ever wanted to learn watercolor but felt unsure where to start or —this workshop is for you.
Instead of focusing on one finished painting at the end, we’ll slow down and build a strong foundation together.
You’ll learn the essential skills that make watercolor feel easier, more enjoyable, and more intuitive.
In this beginner-friendly class, we’ll cover:
• Brush control, water control, and compound strokes
• Color mixing and simple color theory
• Gradients and washes
• Wet-on-wet and wet-on-dry techniques
• Swatching and practicing with intention
This is a relaxed, no-pressure environment where the goal is growth—not perfection. You will leave with new skills and a watercolor journal to continue practicing at home.
What’s Included:
• Guided watercolor instruction
• Personal feedback and support
• All supplies provided for the duration of the class
• A watercolor sketchbook to take home (yours to keep practicing in after class)
Coffee, wine, and small bites will be available for purchase during the event.
Limited to 12 participants.
Refund Policy
All ticket purchases are non-refundable. If you’re unable to attend, you may transfer your seat to a friend.
