Slow & Savor: Mountain Landscapes in Watercolor (Level 2)

Tuesday Oct. 27 | 5:30–8 PM
Hosted at Higher Grounds Coffee
Pagosa Springs, CO

Ready to take your watercolor skills to the next level?

This workshop was created for students who have taken a beginner watercolor class and are ready to grow their confidence painting landscapes.

Together, we'll build upon foundational watercolor techniques as we create a beautiful mountain landscape inspired by the Colorado mountains. Along the way, you'll learn how to add more depth, atmosphere, and dimension to your paintings while continuing to develop your own watercolor style.

In this Level 2 workshop, you'll learn:

  • How to layer watercolor to create depth and distance
  • Techniques for painting mountains with light, shadow, and texture
  • How to create soft, atmospheric skies
  • Tips for adding natural details without overworking your painting
  • How to bring the different elements of a landscape together into one cohesive piece

This class is designed for students who have some watercolor experience and are comfortable with the basics, including brush control, color mixing, and wet-on-wet techniques. If you've taken one of my beginner workshops, you'll feel right at home!

We'll move at a slightly slower, more intentional pace, giving you time to practice new techniques while receiving personalized instruction and encouragement throughout the evening.

What's Included:

  • Guided watercolor instruction
  • Individual feedback and encouragement
  • All supplies provided for the duration of the class
  • A completed reference guide to take home for future practice

Coffee, wine, and treats will be available for purchase during the event.

Limited to 12 participants.

Cancellation & Transfer Policy

Because class sizes are intentionally small and supplies are prepared in advance, workshop registrations are non-refundable.

If you need to cancel 7 or more days before your workshop, you'll receive a credit to use toward a future watercolor class.

Cancellations made within 7 days of the workshop are not eligible for a class credit. If you're unable to attend, you're always welcome to transfer your registration to a friend at no additional charge.

Thank you for understanding and for helping me create the best possible experience for every student.

Please note: If I ever need to cancel a workshop due to illness, weather, or unforeseen circumstances, you'll have the option to receive a full refund or transfer your registration to another class.
